The new cinema film “Ehki Ya Shahrazad� staring famous Egyptian actress Mona Zaki has grossed over 12 million Egyptian pounds at the box office two weeks after its release.

The film, still very popular, has created an uproar amongst critics and Zaki’s fans that claim she strayed from her conservative manner to more seductive scenes.

A campaign named “Ya Khasartik Ya Muna� (Too Bad for You Muna) was created on the internet website “Face Book� which calls on Zaki’s fans to boycott her new film.

The director of the film Yusri Naser Allah revealed that he is very happy for the success of the film and denies that its popularity is related to any sensual scenes form the film or advertisements.

The film is realistic and touches on a number of womens issues, said Yusri.
