The new radio station “Rotana Delta” celebrated its official opening. A large number of music artists and members of the press were at the radio station in the ‘Alsalomi’ area of Beirut.

Among the guests at the celebration were Eli Al Alia, journalist Jamal Fayad, director Randali Qadih and the music artists Rida Botrus, Wael Gassar, Walid Tawfiq, Raja Qasabani, Zain Al Omar, Huda Haddad, Dina Hayek, Dareen Hadshiti, Bascal Saqer, Al Yas Al Rahabani, Nancy Ajram, Joe Ashqar, Amal Hijazi, Basima, and Madline Matar.

According to the London daily Elaph, many of the artists gave live interviews on air and afterward joined together in cutting the cake that had the new radio station’s logo on it.

Lebanese artist Maya Nasri has launched her new album “Jai Al Waqat” (Time Is Coming).

According to the London daily Elaph, Maya spoke at a press conference held by the music production company ‘Rotana’ at the ‘Rotana Café’ in Beirut. A number of the production company managers and representatives were present, and a large number of journalists, were there to celebrate with Maya. The press conference was presented by Miray Eid who is a radio broadcaster for “Rotana Delta Radio.”

The journalists asked Maya about her relations with the production company ‘Rotana’ and if the press conference was delayed due to differences between Maya and the company. Maya denied any problems between her and ‘Rotana,’ stating the only reason for the delay was because she had to travel back and forth between Egypt and Lebanon.

Maya said that she is very pleased to be with working with ‘Rotana.’
Maya said that she has a great relationship with the Egyptian press and that they have supported her. She also thanked the Lebanese press, because it inspired the Egyptian press to take interest in her.

Maya said the decision by the head of the Egyptian art association, Dr. Ashraf Zaki, which prevents foreigners from working in Egypt, did not affect her and that she is still able to work in Egypt.

Maya considers Egypt to be her second home, but Lebanon is where she accomplished her success.

Maya denies there are problems between she and the Lebanese artist Nicole Saba. She said the two are great friends and even spend time at each other’s houses. Maya also denies having a romantic relationship with Lebanese artist Marwan Khoury. Marwan is a great person and a very good friend, but that is all, said Maya.

Maya thanked everyone that helped her with the making of latest album.
She also talked about the music video clip for the song “Jai Al Waqat,” that is presently being shown on all ‘Rotana’ music channels. The clip is directed by Ahmad Al Mahdi.

Maya was accompanied by her brother Marwan, her sister Rana and the composer Hisham Bolis at the conference.

Lebanese superstar Haifa Wahby will host a live concert at the Chinese Garden in the Naser City area of Cairo, and the artist Mahmoud Al Asily will join her.

According to the London daily Elaph, Haifa is getting ready to release her new album called “Habibi Ana” (My Love) and it includes 14 songs:

-“Baed Eli Hasali” (After What Happened To Me)
-“Ayami” (My Days)
-“Matkalmneesh” (Don’t Talk To Me)
-“Ma Tolish Le Had” (Don’t Tell Anyone)

-“Ibn Al Halal” (Legitimate Son)
-“Hasa Ma Bena Haja” (I Feel Nothing Between Us)
-“Hat Alaya Alumak” (I Can’t Blame You)
-“Ya Asoulah”
-“Mtakhtha” (Taken)
-“Albi Hab” (My Heart Fell In Love)
-“Olt Eeh” (What You Say)
-“Saedni Ya Rab” (God Help Me)

Haifa worked with a number of well-known poets on her new album, like Amir Tayma, Nader Abdullah, Muhammad Rifaie, Khaled al Shibani, Muhammad Atef, Ahmad Madi and Baha Al Deen Muhammad.

She also worked with the composers Amro Mustafa, Hanyel Nabil, Muhammad Yehya, Yehya Al Hasan, Sharif Qitah, Nader Nour, Tamer Ali, Sharif Taj and Khaled Iz.

As for distributors, she worked with Tim, Toma, Eli Barir, Muhammad Nour, Karim Abed Al Wahab, Amir Mahrous, Tareq Madkopur, Khaled Nabil and Wisam Ghzawi.

There are songs on the new album that were previously released, like “Mish Adrah Astana” (I Can’t Wait) and “Matolish Le Had” (Don’t Tell Anyone).
Haifa will also release a video clip for the new album for the song “Hasa Ma Bena Haja” (I feel Nothing between us), directed by Yehya Saadeh.
Haifa had an accident while filming the clip, over a year ago. The accident scene will be included in the clip, however, the clip has a happier ending.

The famous Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram was taken to the ‘Hotel Duio’ hospital in Beirut after she had a minor accident while filming her new music video clip for the song “Betfakar Fe Eh” (What Are You Thinking About).

The clip is by Lebanese director Saed Al Marouq and was being filmed in the ‘Sodyeko’ area in Beirut.

The road was wet for the scene, which made it very slippery. An actor in the clip was running toward Nancy and he fell to the ground, pulling Nancy down with him. An ambulance rushed Nancy to the nearest hospital.

Jiji Lamara, business manager of Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram revealed that Nancy is preparing to film three different music video clips for songs from her new album. Three Lebanese directors will be selected.

Jiji also said that Nancy will again work with Lebanese composer Sameer Safeer on two of the songs. The first, “Meen Ghairi Ana” (Who besides me), written by Nizar Francis, and the second, “Zaman Kan Indi Kalb” (In the past I had a heart), written by poet Mustafa Mursi.

The release of Nancy’s album was postponed because Nancy wanted to ensure that the album is of the highest quality and the singer has been preoccupied taking part in a number of patriotic concerts, according to Jiji.

On a different note, recent press reports stated that Nancy is holding negotiations with the production company ‘Rotana’ for the production of her new album.
